Photo shoot & last courses of 2008
12th December 2008

I woke up this morning to a heavy white frost covering the streets and cars. I wanted to grab my camera and take some shots of frosted cobwebs, but I had other commitments, so it was to work as usual.

I ran my last wild food course of the year today, only a short course in winter wild foods, but it was good to get out in the cold crisp air. There was still plenty around for a meal, but it's always best to add a protein portion to the diet at this time of year, if you can.

Shortly after the course I met up with a photographer to get some shots of myself for a wild food article that will be featured in some local newspapers over the Christmas period. It's once again focusing on wild ingredients for an alternative Christmas dinner! I will take this opportunity to apologise to anyone who has to look at my ugly mug if it happens to feature on a coffee table near you!

I will be making another batch of nettle beer on Monday, so I will remember the camera this time and publish the recipe just in time for anyone wanting to make their own in time for the big day.

Well, that's it for now but please check back shortly as I hope to add more content to the site very soon.

Catch you on the trail
Kris
